Its very exciting as Mrs Newman came back from holiday to find lots of very happy freesia bulbs growing in our classroom.
See you all on Monday!
Welcome to Room 10's blog for 2017. We are an amazing Year 0/1 class and our teacher is Mrs Burge. We are looking forward to working together and learning lots of exciting and new things this year! Check our blog regularly to see what we have been up to. We would love to read your comments.

Planting Spring Bulbs
Last week Room 10 decided to plant some spring freesias.
We know they take a long time to grow so if we plant them now they should be here in Spring.
First we had to make a label for our pot.
Then we put some bark at the bottom of the pot for drainage.
Then we put some potting mix into the pot (this was a bit messy).
Next we put the bulb onto the soil with the pointy bit facing up.
Then we covered the bulb carefully with soil.
Lastly we watered them.
They are now on the sunny windowsill warming up to grow.
