Our Huggles Writing

We have been writing about a kind monster called Huggles.

Here are the descriptions we wrote about Huggles. They are up on display in Room 10.
Come in and have a look if you have a minute.
Huggles is a kind monster because he likes to give hugs!

When Huggles is happy, his belly button turns yellow!

When Huggles is sad, his belly button turns blue!

Huggles goes to school with the children.

He loves to make people happy.

Huggles uses kind words to his friends.

Huggles helps people.

He has lots of fun with his friends.

Huggles makes people feel happy.

Huggles is good at sharing and caring for others.

Huggles can come into Room 10 any time!

Reading in Room 10

We love to read in Room 10.

We love making compound words - two little words put together to make one bigger word like
butter & fly = butterfly.

Reading books from our Reading corner is awesome!

Dinosaur Dance is a fun Reading game and it also helps us to learn.

We even get to play Reading games on the iPads to help with our learning.

The Character Parade

To end our Literacy week, we all dressed up as our favourite character from a book.

We enjoyed watching all of the children walking around the hall, showing off their costumes.

We all looked amazing!

Kathryn, Nathan's Nonna came to read to us.

Marian, Alistair's Grandmother came to read to us too.

We had lots of fun in our costumes.

We love to read in Room 10.

Mrs Robinson was dressed as Mary Poppins and Mrs Davies was dressed as a wicked witch!

The Grandparents had a lovely morning tea with the teachers.

Mrs Davies read some stories too.

The Gruffalo is one of our favourites.
